Go away, Flyaways...buh bye.

May 2, 2009 12:36 pm · Posted by oldergirlbeauty
We all know that I am not the most able bodied person to manage their hair. Seriously, I get by, and some days, not very well. I am always so jeally of the lovelies that can just let their hair air dry and go about their business looking good. My hair has always decided that it wants to look like the driest, most flyaway hair raised in the desert. Of course, I live in the humid Midwest, so, that's not it's problem. It just wants to defy me and try to make me spend more time on it than I want to, like an ex just trying to get my attention because he's lonely or something.

Ahem..anyway...well, after all this time - I can finally be the boss of it thanks to AG Split End Spa Repair Serum (which is being released to the public this month). This is a super lightweight serum that contains "AG's exclusive CARE (Colour and Radiance Enhancing) complex which includes a blend of herbal extracts, meadowfoam seed oil, sunflower seed extract and incroquat UV, to eliminate colour-destroying free radicals and work to preserve the vivacity of hair's colour." This is super important to me since I do color my hair Auburn, which is kind of difficult to keep glowy and bright. I use this on my towel dried hair, and even tho it says to "dispense a small amount", I tend to do more than that for my shoulder length hair. Then I just hang around and let the air do it's thing. My hair dries silky and rests on my shoulders instead of reaching for the sky. It also helps keep it smooth when I dry with my round brush and hairdryer, and I put a touch of it on the ends to set it. That keeps it from flying away during the day, too.

I should also mention that I use this with the Colour Savour Shampoo and Colour Savour Conditioner, which also contains the CARE complex and is sulfate free. But, let me tell you, coming from this lather loving lovely, it may be sulfate free, but it gets enough lather that I can get a Ferris Bueller mohawk if I am feeling it. You'll need to get this at a salon, so check out the salon locator to see where you can get it near you.
